A pendant cast from an actual Aragonite crystal. Aragonite can grow in many forms and is an essential mineral for mollusks and coral reefs. This form is called "twinned aragonite" and actually forms when an error occurs in the growth process - however, I tend to think this form is more interesting so maybe we can call it a "happy accident" :).

A clean, simple style great for everyday wear. Being cast in solid brass, the pendant has a great weight and is comfortable to wear. The pendant is made using the lost wax casting process and is cast locally in NYC.

The oxidized brass chain is 24" long.

Over time, the brass will age, developing a beautiful patina. This is one of my favorite properties of brass: old and worn, with a natural finish that can only come from being handled. Smooth, but not too glossy; shiny but not too bright. The chains will also develop naturally, shifting their color modestly to a more natural state.
